Throughout life individuals deal with many hardships, consisting of life and death; letting go can be exceptionally difficult for a great deal of people. After a couple of months, Homer Barron came to town and Miss Emily and he became buddies. When it became time for homer to leave and people thought that she would dedicate suicide if she had to witness another individual leave her behind. For many years the townspeople just saw a Negro in and out your home and never Miss. Emily and in the end of the story it ends up Homer Baron never left but was eliminated and kept in Miss Emily’s bed room. This is not a love story this is a story of adjustment, fixation and monetary stability.
“Homer Barron was a huge, dark, prepared male, with a huge voice and eyes lighter than his face?.” He seemed very masculine. In truth he preferred the business of males and he was quoted stating “He like men?.” The townspeople thought that Miss Emily could perhaps change him and they thought that, “She will convince him yet, in spite of his love for guys, he was a manipulator; he continued to lead on Miss Emily in hopes of masking his true sexuality. He led her to believe that he was interested in remaining in a relationship. He flashed her around during the day so the townspeople would think that they were together. Miss Emily’s dad made big contributions to the town however left her with nothing. Her daddy was her gate method. While he lived her taxes was retained. After his death, Miss Emily was mandated by Colonel Satori’s that she must pay taxes. “I have no taxes in Jefferson,” she exclaimed since she’s never worked. This is when the relationship with Homer Barron became crucial or more pertinent. Homer Barron worked as a building employee who had actually come to town to repair the walkway. Her fascinations with hanging on to the past started immediately after her father’s death she began to pretend that her daddy’s death was only imaginative and started pretending that he was still alive, she told them that her daddy was not dead. She did that for 3 days. She also hoarded his body for those 3 days. After, killing Homer her fascinations grew far even worse at the end of the story, it is discovered that the dreadful stench that grew over the town was really the odor of her rotting spouse as she hung on to his dead body for several years. In conclusion, a love story is story that includes love. This was a story of lies, fixation and control. Which counteracts the meaning.
