An Assessment of the Character of Othello in the Play, Othello by William Shakespeare

As Othello minded his own service, Iago, a greedy self-centered guy, plotted
Privately behind his back due to the fact that he wished to be lieutenant instead of
Cassio. This reveals one of the most essential styles of Othello. Jealousy is
absolutely proven to be one of the greater problems held throughout the entire
story of Othello.

Iagos greed brought him to convince Othello to do wrong.
Othello was not the bad male; Iago was. Othello was only a puppet, however still a
great male. Whether or not he was an excellent male can be responded to by the way it is
asked, the was he dealt with people, and the strings he was connected to
Is Othello an excellent man? This question can be addressed differently
depending on various scenarios. If the concern is asked as whether
Othello did bad things? Yes, however then he did have proper reason behind his
actions. In his mind was he doing bad things? No, to be a bad man, the male
would need to do incorrect on purpose, to enforce misbehavior as right. Nevertheless,
Othellos behaviors were influenced by a guy who was not a great male and
persuaded him that he was doing the best thing. The entire time, nevertheless,
Othello had absolutely no concept he was being lied to. What he did in action to
these lies was ideal to him. Nevertheless, because the lies were incorrect, it made his
actions wrong too. Othello, nevertheless, had a good function. His ultimate objective was
great. For that reason, Othello is a good guy.

Some might argue that he is a bad man due to the fact that of the way he dealt with
individuals. He slapped Desdemona, he thinks too much of himself, some may even
not like him for his race, which is another significant concern in the story. He is referred
to as a moor throughout the whole story. Due to the fact that of the times this play was
wrote, I personally feel that those actions are likewise not wrong. Othello might have
killed his true love, but due to the fact that it was not his intent to eliminate somebody who liked
him, he was not incorrect. In his mind, he was doing the ideal thing, since he was
sure Desdemona no longer enjoyed him. He was just a mere puppet on the strings
of a bad guy. He was not the actual bad male himself.

In the story, Othello is a noble character loaded with daring stories, which
is why the lovely Desdemona falls in love with him. He acts upon things as he
pleases. Iago, his faithful buddy if you will, manipulates the people around the
moor to make it appear that his true love has succumbed to another male, Cassio.
Since of Iagos jealousy against Cassio, he plots to get him fired and take his
job as Othellos right-hand guy. He ultimately sets up a seen where Cassio talks
about Bianca and Othello overhears, thinking he is speaking about Desdemona.
This proves to him that his one real love no longer enjoys him and enjoys Cassio
In conclusion, Iago encourages Othello that the only thing to do is eliminate
Desdemona and Cassio for having fun with his heart. They bring this out and in the
end, Iagos wife shows Iagos lying treachery and exposes the fact. Othello
then recognizes what he had done and eliminates himself. Personally, I think that if a male
would kill himself over his love, he has a good heart. Othello is an excellent guy who
was controlled with puppet strings.
