Character Analysis: Fahrenheit 451

Fahrenheit 451 is a fantastic book composed by Ray Bradbury. In his novel, he blogs about how the future is deprived from books and how life focuses on giant screens as their primary source of entertainment. The primary character and the most important character is named Montag. Montag is a firefighter who attempts to change his life from checking out books which is prohibited. Although society is required to live a life without books, Montag feels the requirement for books and plays an essential role in the story.

Montag’s actions are affected mainly by two people, Clarisse and Faber. Clarisse is Montag’s brand-new neighbor who is the very first to knock awareness into his head. She gives him great deals of suggestions and asks him tough concerns. The question that altered Montag was “Are you happy?” This concern altered Montag because it made him consider all his life and is puzzled and then so chooses to turn to books. Montag finds books difficult to understand and decides to ask an English teacher called Faber. Faber affects Montag by getting him more into books and understanding.

Montag is necessary because he attempts to take initiative into altering society to read books. He feels that individuals need to check out to get a much better understanding about life. Some actions he takes to alter society is by killing Beatty, the greatest person who opposes books. He also attempts to get his better half and her good friends into books by reading to them a poem but stops working. Montag advances a lot in the story. He goes from being a normal brainwashed person to an intellectual trying to alter life.

It is ironic that in the beginning he opposes books and burns them however by the end he attempts to save them and gives up being a firefighter. Montag ends up being influential to individuals specifically Faber because he consistently informs him to “give up” in his pursuit for modification. Fahrenheit is a terrific book that takes you into a journey of how a person attempts to accomplish joy through books. Montag shows to be a crucial figure in the book and is very prominent to individuals around him.
